Wettest Day Ever?

It's rained the whole day, it was raining when I left for the gym this morning (I was late despite sleeping in my most of my gym clothes). My work out joggers were soaked from the knee down and were slapping me in the ankles when I started running which was annoying.
It rained as I mosied into the office and was still raining when I went out for lunch.
I did get to see this amusing site as i battled my way down Oxford Street

Must have been wet for his little legs! The tramp was moving at speed I had to do a little light jog to try and get a pic from the front.

Razor Clams at the Blueprint Cafe

Went to the Blueprint Cafe at the Design Museum on Friday. On their website they state that the nearest tube/train is London Bridge, this is a dirty lie as we had to walk for a good 20 minutes until we got to Shad Thames on the south side of the river.
The view from the resturant was amazing, overlooking the river and Tower Bridge. As the meal was free (tahnkyou Top Table and your reward points) I decided to try food I hadn't eaten before. To start with I had Razor Clams - urggggghhh chewy fishy lumps of rubber served on big razor shaped shells!
For my main course I had Rabbit, or Onglet as it was called.

It's served very rare and bloody inside and tasted like smokey beef.
I ended the meal with a lovely pot of Creme Brule which was delicous. Our belly's were so full we had to roll ourselves into a black cab to get home. I wouldn't go back to the resturant despite the amazing view and Fab Service, I will be heading back to the Design Museum though it looks awesome

Spent Saturday night trying to play Poker but everyone was too drunk and distracted, each round took about an hour! People kept arriving and throwing more rules into our alreasy confused heads. We gave up in the end!

What would I miss the most?

Hmmmm I was just thinking if I moved to American or New Zealand what would I miss most? All I thought of was food! Not family or friends just Marmite, twiglets, Vegetable soup from Eat, Maltears, Angel Delight, Mint sauce, Vimto, Refreshers and Malt loaf to name a few.
I wouldn't miss the busy packed trains and tubes everyday, I'd miss Soho and wandering from bar to bar on a Thursday night and a pasty on the way home. I'd miss Borough Market and the yummy food there.

Had my secons session of Microderbrasion last night, my regular nurse wasn't there so I had someone new. It wasn't as good as before, this time it only took 10 min and she just went over my face once. I was only slightly pink after and by the time I walked back to work looked normal. After my first session I was red for about an hour! The next day my skin felt lovely and soft but very tight, this time it feels like normal.
I must make sure I get my normal nurse next time. Only 4 more sessions to go

Death by eating too much Curry?

Phew just got back from lunch at Govinda's the Vegeterian resturant on Soho Street. Those Hare Krishna's sure know how to make a fantastic curry. I ate so much I think I have done myself some damage, I wonder if it's actually possible to die from over eating like the Gluttony guy in the film Seven.
JB is playing this hilarious game on his PS2 called Scarface, it's obviously based on the film, you get to run around buying and selling drugs. All I can hear is "Fuck you you Fucking CockerRoach", it's hilarious especially when I call him and he answers with "CockerRoach" in a mock Spanish Broklyn accent.

Started looking at flights to Bangkok for Christmas & New Year, We are definately going away and I really really want to get to Thailand ASAP.

Right I'm too tired and full to write any more I'm going to surf the net for a while until my energy levels are normal.

MMmmmm Pancakes

Got home late last night after the gym and got straight into making pancakes. I'd been salivating at the thought of them all day. Karma was not good to me, Sainsbury's had no Nutella and the only bananas left were lime green in colour and not so appealing.
I made ham & cheese for JB as the thought of sweet pancakes is just plain wrong to him although we did have a laugh watching him double flip the pancake so it landed on the same side over and over again until he got the nack right.
I found some Nutella in the back of the cupboard and spread an obscene thick layer over my pancake and added a genrous squirt of cream. I rolled the monster up and jammed it in my mouth to find the nutella had gone stale. The disapointment was extreme.
I was still grumpy this morning when I had to sit on the train next to someone listening to Jackie Wilson at full volume. I could hear every word even though she had massive head hugger earphone on! Bloody bastard!
Mmm it's someone's birthday in the office so tradition dictates they must bring Krispy Kremes.
8 Weeks until our Road Trip Holiday! SCORE!

Meza terrible place to eat - Good Cocktails

We went out for dinner last night as a team. We'd booked a table in Meza on Wardour Street. It's a Conran restaurant so I had fairly high expectations. The staff were all busy chatting to each other and lolling about behind the bar trying their best not to make eye contact with any of the poor souls who had mistakenly come in for some Tapas style dinner.
I ordered roast potato’s stuffed with quail eggs - I got boiled potatoes mushed into a ramakin shape mixed with red peppers (urgggghhhh) and a tiny fried egg on top. It was luke warm and tasted like oil.
For my main course I ordered Pork Fillet wrapped in ham with butter sauce - i got a chewy old pork chop with some creamy salty sauce over the top and a crusty piece of Parma ham nonchalantly thrown on top.
Dessert was good though - yummy Vanilla cheesecake. Well for me it was not for my colleague who ordered Poaches pears in a red wine sauce with vanilla & cinnamon ice cream and got the above but with Mango Sorbet! Can you imagine a fouler taste that red wine sauce, pears & Mango Sorbet. They ran out of Vanilla ice cream and thought no one would notice.

I got home in time to watch a TV show about a journo who tried to slim down to a size 0 in 2 months. She tried everything, cabbage soup diet, extreme exercising even hot water maple syrup and cayenne pepper. She did loose a lot of weight but was in such a bad mood all the time from being half starved that she lost friends and her social life.

I could not starve myself for longer than 3 hours, I’d end up stealing someone’s lunch from the fridge, hmm that reminds me it’s pancake’s for dinner tonight. I’m thinking Maple syrup, mascarpone & chopped Walnuts mmmmm I’m salivating just thinking about them.

http://postsecret.blogspot.com/

Every Monday someone will email the link round, we then always spend a while discussing my favourites. It's so insightful into others lives. Some times they make me tearful, or laugh or sometimes shudder in disgust. I got both the post secret books for Christmas, everyone who comes over like to look at them. Just thought I'd share it with you ......

My Weekend

Finally I have learnt to play Poker. Texas Hold 'em Poker. It's ace and easy once you've played a few rounds. I thought it would be really hard. I bought the Poker for Dummies Book and got confused within the first few pages! Maybe I'll have a look it at again now I have some knowledge of the game on board.

Went to the flicks yesterday with the Forest Hill gang and watched 'Hot Fuzz'. Beckingham is a great little cinema it's quite small and all the staff are lovely and friendly (or were when we left and one asked how the film was!). Any hoo Film was hilarious.
Simon Pegg & Edgar Wright are legends, Edgar has brilliant comedy timing and the film has a great twist running through it. Some Brilliant cameo's - Edward Woodwood (or Edwar wo wo if you remove the D's :)David Threlfall or Frank from Shameless as he's more commonly known.
Very graphic though, you should not watch the film if you don't like to see old dears being punted in the face!

Spent ages last night playing this stupidly addictive 'Zoo Keeper' game on the Nintendo DS.
I actually dreamed about the little bloody squares of addictiveness, when I woke up this morning I thought I was still playing it. Probably should give it a rest for a bit!

Got dinner at Meza tonight with the work girls, Monday nights are a bad night to go out everyone is about as enthusiastic as if I'd declared we should all support Britney 'Shears' and shave our heads in recognition of her brave new look. She's gone Cracker Jack Nuts, even my Gran was surprised by the pictures in the paper.

New year!

Wow so long since i logged onto here, I betthe web is full of half started blogs!
Today I spent my lunch hour in Urban Outfitters buying these realy cute Black vests with sequined butterflys on the back. I'm going to try and flog them on E-bay for twice the amount of money! I also went a bits nuts on the ASOS site and bought 3 bags all the same, 1 for myself and 2 to sell. Fingers crossed that some one else liks the look of them!
I need to start selling a lot of stuff to save some money for our amazing road trip holiday in April. Only 73 more sleeps to go!
